Paediatric First Aid

Course Information

Paediatric First Aid is aimed at those who are responsible for the care and well being of babies and young children.

Who should attend

Childminders and nursery staff

What they will learn

Basic Lifesaving for babies and young children, First aid for babies and young children and the relevant regulations.

Course Content

Dealing with shock, extreme heat & cold
Planning for and dealing with an emergency
Internal & External bleeding
Penetration wounds, burns & scalds
Suspected fractures, head, neck and back injuries
Poisoning, bites and stings
Dealing with febrile convulsions
Recognising & responding to chronic medical conditions, Meningitis and anaphylactic shock
Record Keeping

Course Duration

Two Days (12 Hours)


Continuous assessment throughout the day.

Emergency First Aid

Course Information

This course is aimed at those who are designated to take charge in the event of illness or accident.  The Health & Safety Executive consider this to be a very useful qualification to have, particularly where the workplace consists of a number of floors or shift patterns are in operation. 

Who should attend

•Those who are nominated persons

•Those who provide support to qualified First Aiders

•Those who need to update or refresh existing skills

•Basic lifesaving, First Aid and the relevant regulations

Basic Wound Care

Course Information

This course is aimed at those whose work involves wound care.  This course will give an insight into cleaning wounds, direct pressure, nose bleeds, embedded objects in a wound, blood loss and external bleeding.

First Aid At Work

Course Information

This course covers the practical skills needed by a first aider in the modern workplace. The course will give you the confidence and knowledge to deal with first aid emergencies.

Who should attend?

This course is suitable for nominated workplace first aiders, or anyone wanting a comprehensive introduction to first aid.

What they will learn?

The knowledge and confidence to deal with a First Aid emergency or incident
