ALS – Funded Community Learning
Working in Partnership with Liverpool City Council Adult Learning Services, eduk8 are pleased to offer a programme of Non-accredited learning and training for adults aged 19+
eduk8 share Adult Learning Services vision of providing activities that will increase self-esteem, build confidence, promote independence, improve wellbeing, develop work skills, support enterprise and enhance employment prospects.
Progression is key and learners will receive individually focused advice and guidance to identify the right progression route such as employment, further sector training or volunteering.
Learners should be:
- Aged 19+ (on the day learning commences)
- Be resident in the Liverpool area
- Be prepared to commit to a minimum of 30 hours of supported learning
- Be keen to progress
With strong links to local employers, particularly in Health & Social Care, and with a focus on your Health & Wellbeing we will work together to identify the right road for you and support you on that journey.
Our current offer includes:
- Introduction to Adult social care. An open and honest look at the roles available in this sector and which role is right for you.
- Health & Wellbeing. Spend time on you! and recognise when you or your loved ones need support and where to go to get it.
- Caring Skills. Looking at more specialised care skills including Moving and Handling People, Medicine Administration, Peg Feed, STOMA Care, Catheter Care
- Spectator Safety. Get involved in local and city wide events as a steward!
